Day 72: Thursday, January 22 - The Great Hole of Nothingness

I took a sick day today. I have this terrible cold and literally laid my head down on the table during professional development yesterday. My day consisted of pretty much nothing. I finished my book (Tailspin, a nice FBI thriller by Catherine Coulter), took a bath and listened to the rain, watched some shows I had saved on the good old DVR, watched a movie, surfed the web, took a nap, and cleaned off my kitchen counter. (Which I really did clean. I didn't just move stuff off to take this picture.)

Now I just have to take the old waffle maker to DI. Then my counter will truly be clean. Sick days really work. I feel much better today. Ready to take on the world and go back to work tomorrow! At least it's Friday.

*Side note - Yes, most people get married so you don't have to do stuff like buy new gascaps, as I did on Monday. I am not most people. I am not patient enough to wait for my husband to do things I am perfectly capable of doing myself. My husband took over that role today and took my car to be emissions tested. They are good for something sometimes! The car failed, however, so maybe they aren't good all the time. haha jk (Well, really the dude wouldn't even consider looking at it because of obvious problems.) Unbeknown to me, I had a burnt-out brake light. Now that it is fixed, I look forward to seeing the nice man from Diamond Glass at school tomorrow to replace my windshield. I love repairmen that will come to you. :-)
