One of my single, teacher neighbors is moving back home to live with her parents. She hasn't had any luck getting married in the more than fifteen years she has been living and teaching here and decided it was high time to leave. I was having a conversation about this situation with another friend of mine. We were discussing how we would act in this situation - if we could handle moving back in with the parentals. She just didn't feel like she could do it. She felt that she had lived on her own for so long that her independent nature was too much for those kinds of roommates. I disagreed. I think I could do it. If I were single and in that situation, I could live with my parents again. I know I would need some space, but I really think I could do it. But don't worry Mom and Dad, I am not planning on being single and moving home any time soon! Could you do it?

We made some beautiful cookies over Christmas break. However, they were a little hard. I just wanted a do over! I wanted the most perfect, soft sugar cookies. These were perfect. They weren't beautifully iced, but they were delicious.

Zane, sometime I sleep with my phone too.

When Zoe gets bored she likes to hang out at the top of the stairs. Just chillin with Mike's guitar.

On Thursday I went to our church's stake production of Behold He Cometh, which is a musical production of the ten virgins. It wasn't professional quality and the soloists weren't perfect, but it was so spiritually uplifting that it was easy to overlook those flaws.

Friday's delicious dinner of basil stuffed chicken with grilled cherry tomatoes and asparagus. The highlight of my Friday evening. LOL

We may not have had snomageddon like the Seattle area, but we got our fair share on Friday night. But it is Utah, so the power didn't go out and the roads weren't closed. Sorry to my northern friends that are still without power and are snowed in. I know it's not any consolation, but my cable went out so I watched I Don't Know How She Does It.

I have been hearing about kale chips all over the internet. Everyone is raving over these healthy, nutrient rich potato chip alternative. The first batch were a little overdone so I tried for batch 2. I still don't know how I feel about them, but it was nice to get in my kale intake on a day I didn't have one of my green smoothies.
Here is my new set of pages. I am pretty much caught up on my pictures so I am searching my photo archives for pictures I haven't scrapped or new and fun ideas.

I have been working on this one for over a year and could never get it quite to my liking. I finally just gave up and decided I was done. It's not my favorite page, but sometimes you just have to get over it.

I am even resorting to scrapping my mom's pictures for more to do!

Boy I hope I can live with my parents. Good thing we're sending them on mission soon.
I could do it! And have done it as an adult with husband and kids in tow while we built our house. It was actually nice to have so much quality time with them!
love the pictures and yes i think we could handle it - if it came to that, but glad you aren't planning anything!
