And Here We Have January 29

Some weeks are better than others.  I am not sure how this one qualifies, but it had its ups and downs.

Up: A coworker introduced me to my new favorite salad dressing.  I finally found it!  It's in the refrigerated part of the produce section but not every store sells it.  Search long and hard for it in a store near you.
Up: My three favorite people. Down:  Zane took up barking in the middle of the night to be let out of the kitchen, I still love him.  He still loves me even though I keep locking him outside in the middle of the night as punishment for barking.  I feel like I am sleep training a baby.  So far he has shortened his time span for barking.  (The first night it was an hour and a half.  Last night it was only ten minutes.)

Up: I saw this picture on another blog and just had to copy it.  Very cool lighting effect. And one of my favorite places. Down: I didn't sleep well this week.  Zane didn't help this problem.
Up: Ah, an outing in the middle of the day.  A coworker and I got to go to the luncheon for teachers hosting student teachers.  A fantastic excuse to leave the school for most of the day.  I felt like a true member of the workforce going to a work thang.
Up: We had these awesome shrimp enchiladas with a sour cream cilantro sauce.  Down: Then Mike informed me that he doesn't like shrimp in stuff.  I guess this is the last shrimp-induced meal for awhile.
Down: Mike sent me this text on Friday morning.  A little moon crater science experiment in the kitchen.  I just shook my head and told him to make sure he cleaned it up.  And now I need some new cookie sheets to replace the one dented with rocks. Up:  He had fun.
Up: Cute shoes always make the day better.  Down: Grandma told me that she heard high heels prevent blood from getting to the brain.  Hmmm...  If that's true, I wonder how I function every day?

I personally don't have a saw amidst my plethora of kitchen utensils, but I guess sometimes one can come in handy.   Up: I got to spend time with Grandma.  While I was there she introduced me to some new foods I had never eaten before:

*hot ham and cheese on rye - loved it
*saeurkraut - not a fan
*deviled egg potato salad - not bad
*egg nog flavored Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches - if I ate dairy more often I would like these

It was a slow week for scrapbooking, but I managed a bit.
