Day 154 - December 2, 2011

Each student in my class has the chance to share anything once a week during our morning meeting.  They can bring an item to show the class, share something that happened to them, share a memory, anything.  One of the girls in my class walked to the rug area with what looked like a barbie hidden behind her back.  When it was her turn to share she brought it out from behind her back and announced, "This is my Justin Bieber doll."  Of course she was giggling the entire time, partially from embarrassment and partially from her absolute obsession with the Biebster.  But when she started undressing him, I got kind of nervous.  What in the world was she doing?  After she unzipped his hoodie, she pressed a button on his stomach.  Justin started singing for us.  At this point I was cracking up.  It made my entire day it was so funny!  What a doll.  Of course I just had to take a picture of her with her doll.  She tried to run out the door at the end of the day because she didn't want her picture taken at first.  She thought I was going to show it to everyone and have them laugh at her.  (Which of course was the point!)  Not because we are making fun of her but because, to me, the idea of a Justin Bieber doll that sings from the press of a button on his half naked body is just the funniest thing ever!
