Day 153 - December 1, 2011

My work Christmas party makes it feel like the season is truly here.  Texas Roadhouse catered, which was yummy, and made Mike drop everything to show up.  And what school party would be complete without a white elephant gift exchange?

This is what I received.

As soon as I saw the giant wrapped frame, I knew exactly what it was.  I looked over at the culprit that brought it: my coworker and team member Natalie.  She has been talking for weeks about this picture on her son's wall.  His favorite fourth grade teacher retired that year and gave this picture to him specifically.  He wanted it on his wall and left it there for years.  Natalie was dying to get rid of it and I guess this was the perfect place to regift it!  I ran out of time to get a gift to bring.  So last minute Leslie and I grabbed an wrapped, empty box decorating the table, opened it, and threw some of the Hershey kisses from the table, one of her husband's business cards, and two quarters inside it.  I guess this present it what I get for throwing something together at the last minute.

But would you believe that Leslie ended up with the present she and I put together?

More karma I guess.  LOL
