Day 121 - October 29, 2011

I am sure you have had those days that you just dreaded.  Like, you knew that day was coming, and you so didn't want to do it, but you knew you had no choice?  Today was one of those days for me.  I have known about this all day Saturday science class for over a month now.  The thought of spending my Saturday in another class, after class on Friday no less, made me want to (almost) cry.  And after the science week this  summer...  Whew. 

Thankfully, it was so much better than expected!  In fact, I actually enjoyed it and learned quite a bit.  Hallelujah!  Now that I am actually teaching third grade it helps me really focus on the relevance to my teaching and it makes all the difference. 

I graded my spelling tests while I was there.  As soon as I graded this one I burst out laughing.  I don't think Natalie, Amber and I stopped laughing for over five minutes.  Sorry teacher!  What do you think about #1? 

The real word was scratch.  I am hoping it was just an accident on his part and not some weird word association thing.
