Thank goodness we were in a cabin! I think we would have frozen overnight without it. Overnight we sweltered. Kiersten and I kept waking up sweating and shedding another layer. I wanted to turn the heater down but I was afraid it wouldn't come back on again and then our sweat would cause us to freeze. I'd take the heat over the cold any day. We awoke Saturday morning to a drizzly, wet, cold world. After taking our time to get breakfast and check out, we toured the shops downtown in hopes of getting some clearer, warmer weather to go on another hike. The wait paid off! It warmed up and we got patches of sun. The hike we chose today was Landscape Arch.
The hike to the arch itself was very easy, but it was the off the trail hike to Double O Arch that was the fun part. Climbing up boulders, finding safe footing, etc. It gave way to some beautiful views.
It just makes you believe in God doesn't it? What a great way to hit the 100th day of pictures.
