From Birthmarked, where the world is separated by a wall, and those in the forest outside are required to give a quota of babies to those inside the wall,
to Delirium, where love is considered a disease and everyone over 18 is vaccinated against it, tested, and paired with someone that has similiar test scores,

to the similarly plotted Matched, where everyone in The Society who wishes to be married is matched with their future spouse sometime between their 17th and 18th birthdays then is given a microcard of info on their match. Cassia is matched with her best friend, but it is someone totally different that shows up on the microcard.
And we have Divergent, where, in order to have communal peace and harmony, the world is divided into different five separate groups that represent a virtue. The teens must choose to continue to live in their current group or leave friends and family for another community of their choosing. Beatrice discovers that she does not fit the mold of any group and finds out her society isn't the perfect one she thought it was. (Probably my favorite out of these listed here.)
What would life be like if an asteroid hit the moon to knock it off course and mess with the tides, the weather, the seasons, etc, etc, etc. (Which I previously reviewed here.)
Lots of teenage boys are trapped in a maze where new boys appear frequently. They live there alone and have to fend for themselves, including food and shelter. Every day the maze opens up and certain boys run the maze, trying to find the way out of their "new home." Each night the maze closes off and these beasts show up outside the maze. Anyone trapped outside is never to be heard from again.
Think of Hunger Games, but without the games and combined with zombies. A little depressing, but very cool.
And then on my hold list we have Bumped by Megan McCafferty, Possession by Elana Johnson, and Wither by Lauren DeStefano, along with the sequels of these books I have yet to read. Get one. They are great.
Oh, and Modern Family started today! I {puffy heart} Modern Family.

I saw possession in the book store and almost picked it up, but I didn't know if it was a sequel. I love that I gave you the forest of hands and teeth suggestion last summer. I'm going to check out a few a these at the book store
Thank you! New books to put on hold! Getting very bored with the ones I have.
Thanks for the ideas! I am always looking for new books to read. The Giver has been one of my favorites for a long time and I recently read The Hunger Games and Matched. There is something about those end of the world books...
I'm glad Mike is okay. Spending all day at the hospital definitely doesn't sound like fun.
I am starting to read more I just finished I am number 4. It's a little different than the movie but very good. You were always a great reader.
