Monday is laundry day at my house. I know it's silly, but there is something comforting in the familiarity of doing laundry.
Laundry is not threatening.
Laundry isn't judgmental.
Laundry doesn't whisper and giggle during your entire writing lesson.
Laundry doesn't run and slide across the room after lunch.
Laundry doesn't try and pull its kids out of your school after having a chat about its kid's difficulties that day.
Laundry doesn't get suspended for the rest of the day for peeing on the wall during recess.
Laundry is safe and boring.
Laundry is not threatening.

Oh they did! Today.
I don't know sometimes i feel like my hamper laughs at me while I'm doing laundry. Oh and here's hoping that kid is gone for good.
