The last day of second grade wasn't really sad for me at all. I will have many of them again next year in my class alone and will see all of them during our classroom rotations, so there was nothing to be sad over!
With the hair, I was just ready for a change and didn't want to cut it all off. 
This doesn't mean that I can't go back to either one, but I do see the blond era returning well before the second grade one ever does.

Change is always good. Keeps you on your toes. I do see the blond coming back pretty quickly, but the brown does look great!
