January Reading Recap

Reading in January went well. I read 12 books and 3,958 pages. Not all the books are on the list of recommendable books. Some were pure fluff but enjoyable. Anyway, here is the list, in order of appearance:

*The Highwayman of Tanglewood by Marcia Lyn McClure - Cute, fluffy,
clean, romance set in the 1700's. A little long for my taste.
*Frostbite by Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy #2) - I am liking these
Vampire Academy Books.
*To Have or To Hold by Josi S. Kilpack - Cheesy LDS romance. But
surprisingly well written.
*Picture Perfect by Beverly King - Another LDS romance. Other than
that I can't quite remember what it was about...
*Matched by Ally Condie - A young adult distopian novel written by a
local author, fairly The Giver like. It was a good read, but could have
been written a little better.
*Fallen by Lauren Kate - Hated it. Hated it. Hated it. The most boring
book I have read in years.
*Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy #3) - Desperately awaiting the next
one.
*Shoulder Bags and Shootings by Dorothy Howell - Super sassy murder
mystery combining fashion and crime solving.
*Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater - An excellent werewolf read. It kept me
hooked.
*Long Live the Queen (Presidents Daughter #3) by Ellen Emerson
White - I like reading about the teenage daughter of the first female
president of the U.S.
*The Icing On the Cupcake by Jennifer Ross - Southern belle meets
New York meets cupcakes. Delightful and full of recipes!
*Deb on Arrival Live at Five a Debutante Detective Mystery by Laurie
Moore - Another Southern belle book only this time combining it with
a detective agency.

Now February? That's a different story. I am only on my third book. And I didn't even finish the second one. And it's the 13th.

I read Fallen- holy crap, I agree really hard to read. I read the 2nd in the series...just as difficult. BORING. Might I suggest, if you haven't already, Sarah Addison Allen. She has 3 or 4 books, enjoyable. Sugar Queen, Girl Who Chased the Moon, and Garden Spells. I can remember those off the top of my head. And in March is the final book in the Forest of Hands and Teeth series by Carrie Ryan. I believe it's called The Dark and Hollow Places. I remember you read those last summer too.
