Joyeux Noel

Christmas Eve started with a huge Christmas dinner. (This way we don't have to lift a finger on Christmas day. Leftovers = yum!) Kiersten's boyfriend, David, and his family joined ours for dinner. We ate, played Name that Tune with Christmas songs, and laughed and laughed. Oh, and stayed up way to late on the night before Christmas.

On Christmas morning, we all started opening presents at 9 am. I think this was one of the first years I was up well before everyone else. Or so I thought. I climbed out of bed at 8 and started quietly getting ready for the day amidst a silent house. Unbeknownst to me, everyone was up in their respective rooms just waiting for somebody else to wake up!

The girls decided to go the matching pajama route this year, which was not an easy feat let me tell you. The American Eagle tan and purple sweats were found on the first try, but the matching purple hoodies weren't found until the next day. After an entire day of searching, we finally found them!

Dad was overloaded by females!

We opened presents until 3:00 in the afternoon. One by one, one at a time, oldest to youngest - it takes all day as you can imagine. I definitely got a fabulous haul including clothes, boots, canning equipment, books, and a Vitamix! Mike has yet to open his presents, being stuck working this weekend. We miss you Mike! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
