Since I unfortunately didn't get to go to the tulip festivals when I was up in Seattle for spring break, this weekend Mike and I went to the Tulip Festival at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. I was excited to see a little piece of what I might have seen in Northern Washington, and at a beautiful place like Thanksgiving Point. I knew I wasn't going to see the fields and fields like this in Washington

but I did expect more than this. And this was one of the better pics!

Only about 40% of the flowers were in bloom - very disappointing. If I could do it over again (and I will), I would go later in the summer when the flowers are actually out! I have super high praise for the gardens, so go, but just a little later on.
