Day 336: Monday, October 12

Today I made my pilgrimage to the grocery store. I love Macey's purely for the fact that I never have to wait in line at the checkout counter. Truly, that is why I shop there. I always wait behind several people at Albertson's and many people at Wal-Mart, so Macey's is generally the winner. Since I already hate grocery shopping, this detail makes it a little more bearable. I just wish I could get out of there by spending less than $100! My food covered the entire counter.

I have one complaint for my shopping trip last night, however. The checker was also the bagger for this trip. I think she was trying to use as many bags as possible. She would sometimes only put 1 or 2 items in a bag. All in all, I ended up with 15 plastic bags, and that is not counting the soda and potatoes that aren't bagged! I hate plastic grocery bags, but they have handles on them unlike the paper bags. I could carry my own reuable bags, but that just takes so much effort.

After I unloaded my groceries I noticed something I had not placed in my cart:

I don't buy bagels and I definitely didn't pay for these, so now comes the age old dilemma: do I get back into my car at 9 at night, drive back to the store, and give them back, or do I just keep them? I mean, they gave them to me. I know the honest thing would be to take them back, but I so don't want to drive back there!

Keep it! Keep it! If you don't like them or feel guilty eating them... I'll take 'em! :) I love bagels!

I would take it back. Karma's a b-tch

I was going to say keep 'em until I read that karma thing. You don't want to mess with karma (although it's not like Macey's will be able to sell them again once you bring them back so you won't be saving them any money). How did they end up in your stuff?
And I'm with you on the grocery bags: hate them!
