We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out, watching a movie and reading. It was your typical relaxing Sunday afternoon complete with fine, home-cooked food and a beautiful sunset.

Day 314: Sunday, September 20
Several weeks ago every member of our ward got a letter from the bishop saying to be at church today for a special, important announcement. The chapel was literally packed with inactive members in addition to all the guests for a baby blessing. The special announcement was actually a chastising to all those who did not get the special green recommend and attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication. Seriously. I am sure many people needed to hear that in such a blunt way, and if you were out of town you should have figured out a way. Sometimes we all need to be shocked into obedience, I guess, but a letter in the mail? Really? The funniest part was the amount of people who walked out in the middle of sacrament meeting, especially the inactives. In addition to that one, we were told not to rely on texting for visiting teaching and home teaching, and for something else that I can't remember but obviously made a big impression on me. All I can say is - only in Utah.

very pretty
What a waste of perfectly good church attendance! If your going to go to all the work of getting people there and they actually come - do something productive and maybe have a little of the spirit there? Hmmm? Thats too bad.
But your pictures is really cool!
