Day 313: Saturday, September 19

The storytelling festival - the one and only fund raiser we have each year. We have bouncy houses, rockets, face painting, hay rides, cotton candy, the works. Teachers "get the privilege" of volunteering their time and manning some of the booths. Mike and I got the ticket booth this year. Due to my love of sleeping, I took the 12-2 shift. We were kept fairly busy selling punch passes, trading in completed passes for free Cold Stone Creations, and giving out Otter Pops whilst feeling the love from past and present students. A., one of my students from three years ago, decided she wanted to use my camera to take pictures. She is pretty reliable, if not for a lack of energy, and I wanted to see what she could come up with. Not all of them were good. In fact, most were downright atrocious, but this one of our principal after her encounter with The Flusher actually came out pretty cute.

Then it hit football game time. That's when Mike decided he needed to go home to watch Tennessee get slaughtered on the football field. Thankfully Alex and Janette were headed down so they could drive me home! But I must say, I have a cute husband who was willing to go and support me. Don't worry, I am not going to turn this into a post on how great my husband is, cause I just don't do that. In fact, I get annoyed when I read other people's blogs on what wonderful, dutiful, whipped husbands they have. But he has his moments, and when he follows through, I have to give him props.

Aww, the story-telling festival! That picture of Kristie is pretty cute, especially since it was taken by a kid! And hey, that's awesome about that Advanced Tap class! I wish I could dance, but I got blessed with two left feet. :)
