Day 94: Friday, February 13 - V-Day Prequel

Ah, Valentine's Day, the day of giving,

cheesy cards,

and cheap chocolate.
Today isn't really that day, as obvious by the date of this post, but it is for schools when the real Valentine's Day is on a Saturday. This is the day where happy children slather pink frosting all over their faces and giggle uproariously, as if they were the first kids to ever get frosting on their noses.
It took many minutes to clean up after the Valentine's Day Disaster of card making, cookie decorating, candy heart graphing, and Valentine delivering. But the best part of the day is the way second graders make you feel - like you are the greatest person alive! I made a card along with them to give them the idea that card making didn't just consist of gluing hearts on a card then filling every last inch with color.
The comments received were:
"That card looks like it just came out of the store!"
(in awe) "You are the best card maker I have ever seen."
"You should sell your cards. You could get rich."

People, people, it's just construction paper. Imagine what I could do if I had a set of glitter pens!

You think that's why so many teachers are overweight?
