Day 50: Wednesday, December 31 - Every Party Has a Pooper

"Every party has a pooper that's why we invited you! Party pooper! Party pooper!" I sang that song to Mike tonight. It's New Year's Eve and we had some fun plans - plans HE made, I might add. But no, he came home from work and insisted he was tired. He refused to go anywhere or let anyone come over. This is me at 7:30 in reaction:

I made cookies, cheesecake, and had cute hair! Sheesh. None of the usual bribes worked. He said I could go without him, but he would prefer it if I stayed and hung out with him. Being the nice wife that I am (and due to the fact that I went to parties by myself the past 2 years, getting texts all night about missing me and wanting me to come home, and didn't want to do it again) I stayed home with him. Here is the play by play: (Yup, I was so bored I took notes. But not bored enough to get out of my bed.)

8:00 I finally got over my angst and decided to finish making dinner.

8:30 There was absolutely nothing on TV! What I thought was a New Year's Eve special turned out to be a showing of Hannah Montana. We pathetically watched that while searching for a different show or movie to watch.

9:12 Turned off a CSI rerun to go to bed. I laid there and ate some of my awesome almond cookies while trying to hear the TV over Zoe's snoring. (The dogs got a special treat of sleeping in our bed until I was ready to fall asleep. They are not good bed partners.)

9:52 Took a picture of myself bored, cute curly head and all.
9:59 Zane is exiled to the floor. He moves around too much.

10:04 Looked over from my book (yes, I put down Kite Runner to read Confessions of a Shopaholic for the fourth time) and noticed Zoe was sleeping with her head on the pillow, eyes open. I took a picture of Mike and her sleeping. Mike woke up long enough to laugh at Zoe.

10ish Got texts from both Leslie and Janette trying to get me to come hang out. It would take too much effort to get out of my bed at this point.

10:21 Decided to finally take out my contacts and take off my make-up. You won't be seeing any more pictures of me tonight! Hair still looks perfect though. Very important.

11:26 Put my book down and turned off the lights. It's bedtime. Happy New Year. Yay.

Today's Movie: A Kiss at Midnight - A cute New Year's production made for TV from Hallmark. You will like it if you like cheesy holiday movies like I do.
