Day 27 - 17 Days 'Til Christmas - 2nd Grade is the Bomb dot Com!
Every year at school we turn the holiday season into a scholarly occasion by making literature trees. We decorate a tree based upon a Christmas/Holiday book. The past few years my tree has been based upon the book I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas by John Rox and Bruce Whatley, mostly because we sing that song for Singing Around the Tree, but also because we love that book! It has great illustrations to the words of the song, and the kids just laugh when we read it.
