Dear Mike,
Happy 30th birthday! I know you don't care about birthdays, but I do. I am glad you took the day off and took time to at least relax on this major birthday. I still laugh about your choice of dinner - KFC. But your taste in dessert, key lime meringue pie, was exceptional. I am still sorry that you wouldn't let me do anything big or fun for you day, but the most important part was that you got to spend it doing what you wanted - absolutely nothing except guitar, TV, and X Box games. (Well, and maybe go to class but you couldn't help that one.) Anyway, happy birthday babe!
