Listen up all you digi scrappers out there! Oh, and photographers and Photoshop users. Have I got the toy for you. It's a program called ACDSee and I have recently become obsessed with it. You can use it to manage all your digital scrapbook kits and elements as well as photos. I am currently in the process of tagging all my stuff. (I have a lot of it. Believe me, it takes a long time.) The best part is that once you tag each item and can search for certain characteristics. For example, let's say I want to add a bow to my scrapbook page. But not just any bow, a pink bow. You can do a search for all items tagged pink and bows. Here is a screen shot of my program:
On the right hand side you can see all my tagging options. The blue arrows show that I have selected pink and bows and knots. Every element I have tagged with those characteristics now comes up. I can then click on the item I want and drag and drop it straight onto my Photoshop layout without even going to that folder. Easy as pie! You can do the same idea with your pictures. You can tag dates, people, places, etc. Now tagging them? That's a much longer story. But it will be SOOO worth it in the end.
