Day 106 - October 14, 2011

A group of us from school got together to purchase Thriller tickets.  Thriller is Odyssey Dance Theater's Halloween production.  It, for obvious reasons, starts off with the a dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller.  The zombies in this dance wander around the lobby scaring those in attendance to the show.  I loved it!  They were seriously creepy.

Amber kept placing her back towards the hall and the zombies would surprise her every time!  It was hilarious to watch her jump when she realized one was there.

The stare down.  They rarely broke character.

And they would still pose for pictures, still without breaking character.

Our favorite dance was a tap number where the dancers wore these black costumes with skeletons on them.  They turned off all the lights except for a black light so it looked like these skeletons were tapping across the stage.  I also loved when Frankenstein's monster danced with his bride.  He accidentally kills her, is crushed, and finishes the dance with his deceased bride.  Watching her play dead was amazing!  That takes so much effort.  One of my other favorite interludes happened when the Sugar Plum fairy danced on stage.  While performing her solo and Jason walks on, shoots her, and drags her off stage.  It was so funny!

At intermission we were hanging out it in the upstairs lobby talking.  I was facing backwards into the room.  During my obliviousness, zombies had walked upstairs and were wandering around the lobby.  One of them wandered up behind me and startled me!  I jumped and let out a little squeal.  I let my guard down and they caught me.  But it made me happy that she broke character just a little and smiled.  We got each other, I guess.

That is so cool, I love it but I don't like to be scared.
