Day 9 - July 9, 2011

Being a single rider sucks. I went with Kiersten and David to the American Fork carnival while Mike worked. Again. (It's the story of my life these days.) I got seated next to these weirdos. The first guy didn't say a single word. The second girl giggled through the entire ride. I truly rarely have a problem going places by myself. I mean, if I didn't go by myself I would sit at home alone, and no one likes that.

Anywho, we had a blast. Here we are waiting for food. Blurry. Nice. But I still love what my cell phone can do to the photos.

The food was funnel cakes and corn dogs. I only ate a bite of the funnel cake and that was enough for me. The last time I ate a funnel cake (5 years ago at the Utah State Fair) and went on rides I got pretty upset to my stomach. No barfing thankfully, but I wasn't about to chance it. I guess it didn't sit so well for Kiersten either. On our last ride (a spinning one), just as it was slowing down, she looked like she was about to spew. David was telling her to hold it in so it wouldn't fly on those of us (like me) right behind them. I was just staring at her with my hands on my face thinking, "No, don't do it, don't do it!" But she didn't listen to me.

Is it creepy that I thought that her puking was one of the best parts of the night? haha We all felt a little nauseous after the rides. It was only three rides (The Ring of Fire, the Gravitron, then the Scrambler), but three rides too quickly apparently. No more funnel cakes EVER AGAIN. Even the smell of the oil as we were walking away was almost enough to do me in.

I looked at the great picture taken with your cell phone and I was just thinking that my girls are the most beautiful girls in the world. Lets try and put that spewing thing behind us.
