I am having a rough time. We are trying to move out of state so I have joined the job hunting force again. :-( You would think my awesome resume would speak for itself, but so far no bites - not even a single phone call. I mean, who wouldn't want to hire me? I am awesome! I know, I know, patience is the key, but I am so not a patient person. I just don't know how to stand out amongst hundreds of other applicants! Ideas would be appreciated.
(BTW, I have already ruled out bright paper, extra large paper, and putting a picture on my application. We just won't go there.)

Good luck! And yes, searching for a job is the WORST!
What! You're moving?? When did this happen??
Honestly, the best way to get noticed is to go there. When I was job searching in UT, we made a special week-trip just to UT for interviews and to find an apartment. I sent out a billion emails to principals saying, I am in town-I want to visit your school, this is what makes me a great candidate etc. Good Luck!
Where are you guys trying to move, and when?? I have no idea about job hunting. I have been lucky enough to not have to do it.... and when I do, I'll come to you for help! I think Lesly gave some good ideas... good luck!
How about scented? :O)
Yes, we have been working on this move for about 9 months, so my applications have been out since then, but the HR person said that I shouldn't head out there to talk to principals. She said that it would just bug them and that was how they did it in their area. I was all ready to book a flight for June back in March but then was discouraged into not doing it. I don't know what to think now!
I know you've put a lot of effort into this since we talked about it over a year ago. Is FL still the goal? You are an amazing teacher, so if there are openings I am sure you will get one. Good luck!
