Parents and Pastries

Every year during March, national reading month, we have an activity called Parents and Pastries (also called Dads and Donuts or Moms and Muffins, but we want to allow both parents or, in actuality, whichever parent can show up) where parents come to school early to read with their child and enjoy a lovely donut. I had ZERO parents show up. What do you think that says?
