Day 360: Thursday, November 5

A big shout out to my mother and sister. Happy birthday! Kendall, I hope you feel better and your fever comes down. It's no fun to be sick on your birthday.

Today I was blessed, or cursed however you want to look at it, with 6 students absent. A class of 14 is insanely small. All I kept thinking about was that I would get to reteach everything again at a later date. We were in charge of the assembly today, and all my key speakers were gone. At the last minute we had to do some rearranging and reassigning of parts. The principal chose to start off with a seated dance party, getting all the students riled up. All this after we spent an hour this morning getting them to calm down and sit still while on stage! It's a good thing they were cut a little slack, being 7 and all.

Look at goofball in the front. Of course Mr. Camera Hog would pull a face at me in the middle of the assembly. And can you see my friend on the left in the yellow striped shirt practically napping on his lap? Another case of the wiggles. He can never sit still. Ahh, the way their personalities come out at every turn.

I went straight from work to my hair appointment in Saratoga Springs, then straight to my dance class, then finally home at 9. I ate a large lunch hoping it would tide me over for the entire afternoon/evening. It worked! We had an authentic Thanksgiving feast for our potluck today, complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls, jello salad, and pie. I think it was the best potluckin my 6 years teaching! It gets me extra excited for Thanksgiving.

That picture is a classic. Completely captures their mischevious little natures :). I blog stalk to so I was so excited when I saw yours.

Who's class is in the middle? There's a whole row of them sitting very nicely with arms folded.

That's Mrs. Jex's class. The funny thing is that her class was the craziest!

I know, how could this be?! They look so peaceful and calm. This picture is not reality.
