During my elementary education days at BYU we had to create a teaching portfolio in order to graduate. I am glad I had to create that portfolio because of 1 thing - pictures! These are the only pics I have of my pre-certified teaching days. (My student teaching days were a
little too busy with that along with an engagement and planning a wedding while also working part time.) Here I am during my first cohort teaching a fractions lesson to a group of first graders at Mapleton Elementary. These guys are in 8th grade now!

These are the kids in my second cohort. I was teaching fifth grade during the summer of fast tracking. It was May and these fifth graders had just graduated from Mapleton Elementary School. Oh my gosh they are now seniors in high school! That makes me feel so old!

And this is what Mike was doing while I was working on my degree: getting ready and serving as a missionary in the Ohio, Cincinnati Mission.
