The Hunger Games Teaser

I promised a little Hunger Games teaser so here we go.

Catching Fire is actually the second book of The Hunger Games trilogy. You must read the first, conveniently called The Hunger Games, before getting hooked and reading Catching Fire. It introduces sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world where a powerful government called the Capitol has risen up after several devastating disasters. As punishment for a previous rebellion against the Capitol, every year one boy and one girl from each district are forced to participate in "The Hunger Games", a televised event whereby the participants, or "tributes", must fight to the death in an outdoor arena until only one remains.

I know, sounds a little morbid, but it is just so well written and captivating!
