Day 311: Thursday, September 17

At my hip hop class on Tuesday, the owner of the studio mentioned the other classes they have to offer in the hopes of getting us to sign up for another class. One did catch my attention: advanced tap. When I mentioned that I was interested in that one she said, "Are you sure you want advanced?" (Probably because we are taking beginning hip hop.) I
replied, "Yes, I am advanced."
So she responded with, "Now, they are really, really advanced."
So I repeated, "Well it's a good thing I am really, really advanced."

When I showed up at class she started out testing my skills. When she realized I could do pretty much anything she threw at me, they all started teaching me the dance of which they had already learned half. I caught on pretty fast, so they kept throwing more and more combinations at me until they had taught me pretty much the entire part they knew. I am proud to say that I think they were impressed I caught on so well, and I know they are excited to bring up the class to a total of four dancers. I am sure my dusty tap shoes liked being pulled out of the box as well. Now the true test is to see how much I remember by next week!

I had no idea you tapped--let alone were really, really advanced! That's awesome!
