Labor Day. One of my favorite holidays because that means I get a day off from school at the beginning of the year! I insisted to Mike last week that we were actually going to do something fun, like go to Swiss Days or the Luau at Thanksgiving Point. However, Swiss Days was only Friday and Saturday, so there went that plan, and the Luau was $18 per person and we weren't willing to pay that for one evening of fun. So we stayed at home. I was having some irrational anxiety anyway, so I wasn't too disappointed.
It was nice to have a break from school. Even though my class is so good in the mornings, (and here we insert a picture taken last week because I didn't have any others today)
the days are long. I am looking forward to tomorrow when planning time starts (i.e. the kids go away for awhile to art, PE, computers, etc and I get to get some work done).
