It is a day the teachers dread. The good part is that we don't have to do anything, just referee them around. The dreading part comes because the day just drags on. And on. And on. The kids had a blast playing and I had a blast getting water for everyone and laying on the grass. They were literally soaked when the day was through, but we just send them on home to Mom and Dad and let them take care of it.

Day 199: Thursday, May 28
Ahh, field day. The day of sunburns, overheating, and water fights. The room moms set up a variety of games outside and we spend the entire afternoon rotating through the different stations. It is a day the kids will always remember. Here we have the game of "carry a spoonful of water and drop it in the cup across the field to see which team can fill up their cup with the most water." Great fun.
