Unfortunately, the current light did not have a strong enough base to support the weight of the fan. Fortunately, the boys had the knowledge to create a new support system. Unfortunately, we didn't own a saw. Fortunately, my brother did own one. Unfortunately, the saw started smoking while they were cutting the wood in the attic. Fortunately, they discovered my brother had put the blade on backwards. Unfortunately, they got the fan all installed and it didn't work. Fortunately, we figured out the problem. Unfortunately, we had to completely remove our remote controlled dimmer switch we installed a couple years ago to get it to work. Fortunately, the fan comes with its own remote to control the fan and light. Unfortunately, the remote didn't come with a normal battery and the fan wouldn't work without it. Fortunately, the guys ran to the store to buy one and the fan worked! Unfortunately, while they were trying to put the fan blades on the fan it started getting dark and the electrical was off for installation. Fortunately, they had me to hold the flashlight.

The fan looks fabulous. Does it do what you want it to do?
