Day 128: Thursday, March 19 - A Nice Surprise

Parent/teacher conferences always call for a long day. You go to work in the morning and don't get home until after nine at night. Yeah that's a long day! The book fair runs during the entire week at this time. Parents can buy teachers books off their wish list. With the economy the way it is right now, most teachers didn't get any books at all. I was surprised at the end with a gift from a student, one who showed up way after she was scheduled to conference. I got not one, not two, but three new books! (I think A's mom is trying to suck up a little. I don't mind that at all.) It was a nice surprise after the drama of the evening, but we won't get into that.
