Day 84: Tuesday, February 3 - 100 Days of School Teacher Bliss

Today was the 100th day of school. We are on the countdown to the end of school! Not only was it the 100th day, but we won the best behavior banner at the assembly, finally, for the first time in my teaching career at Park View!

You can also see the 100th day headbands we made today. In the past, everyone has loved these headbands, even the boys. Today, C., who is 8 going on 15, said, "These are cheesy." Therefore, all the students took theirs off saying, "These are cheesy." (Once C. explained what cheesy meant, that is.) But throughout the day, most of the headbands crept back on those heads.

Here is our list of our fabulous 100th day activities. I usually don't make a big deal out of the 100th day, but the kids just begged to do anything we could.
*Made 100's day headbands with 100 things drawn on them
*Made a 100th day class book
*Wrote our spelling words 100 times (something I would never have them do, but since it was the 100th day they thought it was so cool!)
*Wrote the numbers 1-100
*Did a 100's day mystery puzzle
*Jogged for 100 seconds
*Read 100 words
*Drew ourselves at 100 years old
*Counted 100 objects
*Ate 100th day stew (any of the edible 100 objects were put together in a "stew" and eaten.)
*Realized that 100 really isn't that much anymore!
