Let me interpret:
Mrs. Busch, I'm sorry about your rough day. I will try to make it better. From, K
I did have a rough Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They were just driving me crazy with their lack of listening skills. I used my firm voice at them. (Not a yelling voice mind you.) Then I just realized it was (mostly) just me and the way I was managing and teaching. I was passing over some things I generally do to keep the class on track. I guess I needed a little personal reminder after Christmas break. This week has gone great. I got back into my normal habits and routines and life has been happier on all ends. This little note was a pretty cute reminder that they are on my side, and not intentionally trying to make my day a nightmare.
Side note: Yes, it is January and we are still working on the definition of a compliment. Most of us have it down. Now for the rest of us to realize that "you are cute" and "you are nice" are not true compliments. It is better than "you are so mean to me at recess," so I guess we will leave it for now.

What a sweet note! I remember trying to teach compliments too. It's funny how hard it is for them to catch on! Some of my students would compliment others for being their friend. I guess they thought they had good taste in friends! :)
So cute. I Miss second graders!!!!
